About

Welcome to all things ukulele! This is the webpage of the grassroots initiative to introduce ukulele to the part of Boston around the Neponset River, also known as Historic Lower Mills, home of the oldest chocolate factory in the USA. With the support of Ukulele Union of Boston (UUoB), we launched our first jam session on the night of the Super Full Blood Moon (31st January 2018) and have been going on a weekly basis ever since. We announce these meet-ups on the UUoB Meetup Website and request everyone to RSVP so we know how many and whom to expect. Meetup is free to register and join.

Until further notice, all jam sessions are FREE to join. Of course, we welcome you to bring drinks, snacks, and anything to share or donate for future consumption and use.

We like to begin with easy songs to warm up. Ours is thematic — to celebrate different holiday occasions, indulge in songs of favourite groups like  Beatles and ABBA, reminisce the music of different decades, and any other requests and grand ideas. We aim to do as much singing and playing as possible. We like to end our jam session with Joe Brown’s “I’ll See You in My Dreams” and Morecambe & Wise’s “Bring Me Sunshine.”
